Perfect Brow Lamination: AFTERCARE

Updated: May 9

Brow lamination is a popular treatment as clients can achieve thick and fluffy brows in less than an hour.

Brow lamination ideal for anyone looking to improve the shape of their brows.

Aftercare is very important with this treatment to keep your brows looking good for a long time.

FIRST 24H

Here is what to do during the first 24 hours after a brow lamination:

1. Avoid Getting Brows Wet

Do not expose your brows to water, steam, sweat, or humidity for the first 24 hours. This includes avoiding saunas, swimming pools, hot showers, and intense workouts.

2. No Makeup or Skincare Products

Refrain from applying makeup, brow gels, or skincare products (like serums or creams) directly on or around your brows for the first 24 hours. This helps prevent irritation and keeps the lamination intact.

3. Do Not Touch or Rub Your Brows

Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching your brows to prevent disrupting the lamination process. This educes the risk of irritation or damage to your brow hairs.

4. Avoid Sleeping on Your Face

Try not to sleep face-down or on the side where your brows are pressed against a pillow, as this can flatten or distort the brow shape. Sleeping on your back is ideal.

5. No Heat or UV Exposure

Avoid exposing your brows to direct sunlight, tanning beds, or heat sources. These can affect the lamination process and lead to fading or damage.

Following these aftercare guidelines for the first 24 hours helps ensure the best results from your brow lamination treatment. After this initial period, you can gradually return to your regular beauty and skincare routines.

AFTER 24H

After the initial 24 hours following a brow lamination, you can resume some aspects of your normal routine, but it is crucial to continue taking care to maintain the shape and health of your brows.

Here is what to do after the first 24 hours:

1. Gentle Cleansing

You can start washing your face, but be gentle around the brow area. Avoid using harsh cleansers or scrubbing the brows. of

2. Daily conditioning

You must condition your brow hair every day (best in the morning). Very simply you apply a small amount of hair conditioner/mask on your brows for a few minutes and rinse it out with water. Any hair conditioner works here! This will make your hair soft and styling them will be much easier.

3. Brush and Groom

After you will gently pat dry your eyebrows with a tissue (or towel) and when they are still feeling damp (so not wet but not completely dry) you will style them with a clean dry brush. To keep your brows looking their best, brush them in the desired direction. This helps maintain the structured look of the lamination.

4. Avoid Excessive Heat and Humidity

While you can now take showers and resume light workouts, try to avoid prolonged exposure to high heat or humidity, such as saunas or steam rooms. This helps maintain the longevity of your brow lamination.

5. Apply a Brow Serum and Oil

To keep your brows healthy and nourished, consider using a brow serum or conditioner. Look for products with nourishing ingredients like peptides, keratin, or natural oils, and use them according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Apply a small amount of oil to style them or use the oil once a week to make sure hair is nourished with oil to help maintain your brows in the best possible condition.

6. Avoid Aggressive Makeup Removal

When removing makeup, be gentle around the brow area. Use a mild makeup remover and avoid harsh rubbing to prevent disrupting the lamination.

By following these aftercare guidelines, you can extend the lifespan of your brow lamination and ensure your brows stay looking their best.

IMPORTANT: The client should not come before 6 weeks to get her lamination re-done. This includes any brow lamination done elsewhere too.
